Situated in the Port Covington industrial area of South Baltimore, Sagamore Spirit was cofounded by Kevin Plank, founder of Under Armour and his friend, Bill McDermond. The distillery is part of Plank's massive multi-billion dollar rehab project for the Port Covington area. The 22,000 square-foot distillery boasts a 6,000 gallon mash cooker, nine 6,500 gallon fermenting tanks and a 40-foot mirror finished copper column still. Additionally a 250-gallon copper pot still is used for research, seasonal releases and new spirits.
